ALLURE BEAUTY BOX πŸ‚ OCTOBER 2018 πŸ‚

ALLURE BEAUTY BOX πŸ‚ OCTOBER 2018 πŸ‚

What i love the most about Allure’s beauty box is the products inside. Altho it costs lesser than boxycharm and a little bit more than sephora play or Ipsy, you still get a good deluxe size for most products and sometimes a few full size products. This month of halloween, you’re in for all the treats and no tricks about that.

Yves Saint Laurent Tatouage Couture matte stain #5 Rosewood gang.

How exciting is it to receive a high end name from a beauty box! This must be the most amazing highlight of 2018 in my Allure box. The YSL tatouage couture matte stain comes in a range of colours, mine is in #5 rosewood gang. It is described as a mauve rose shade very close to MUFE rosewood which is slightly lighter in tone. This is supposed to dry matte and leave a stain after a while, the stain is especially obvious on darker shades.

With this lipstick i find that it is not 100% transfer proof because with the kiss test it transferred quite easily onto my hand. But there is the leftover of the stain on my lips.

Overall this has a light feel when applying, it does not feel heavy like most liquid lipstick. But at the same time since it is a stain, it will transfer a little bit before staining on your lips.

Hourglass Caution extreme lash mascara.

While i love Hourglass’ primer and foundation stick, this is my first trying out the mascara. I love jet black mascara that accentuates the lashes even more without looking clumpy or spider like.

This mascara has quite a long extended wand with brush bristles that are short and spiky. The length tapers smaller at then end so that it’s easier to reach the inner corners. This claims to deliver endless length and sky high lift for dramatic lashes, which i agree that this mascara instantly woke my eyes up and lengthens each strand up. I do get some spots that clumps but with a bit if wiggling it spreads out. And whats great is that it doesn’t flake off easily, so no accidental dark circles underneath the eyes.

BKR Paris water balm.

A tiny pot of balm that can go a longgg way and help your lips remain juicy. This product is stored in a cute little clear pot and is said to be the go to product that makeup artist love to prep lips with. It is a balm that is not sticky and does not easily rub off. The moisturizing formula preps lips to be soft and juicy before applying any type of lipstick like the dry matte type.

First aid beauty ultra repair cream.

This ultra repair cream is light and gel like, turning to a soft cream that hydrates and nourish even the most dry and sensitive skin. This product claims to relieve itchiness and eczema and also contains antioxidants.

I tend to get redness around my face and sometimes red spots which shows my face is irritated perhaps from the previous day’s full makeup. Upon applying this repair cream, it smooths out the rough dry areas and also soothe the itch. I also like that its not tacky when applied, it blends softly into the skin.

Caudalie vinopure skin perfecting serum.

Lets start with saying that i love Caudalie’s products, their skincare range has opened so many products for me that works. This skin perfecting serum aims to reduce the sizes of pores and remove blackheads with the help of salicylic acid.

Applying this serum after toner on a freshly cleansed face is the perfect combo to deep cleanse and minimise the production of blackheads. Rosewater is also one of the main ingredients which is quite a popular component for hydration. This is a recommended product for oily to combination skin and also for those who suffer major oiliness thru the redlight days.

Sunday riley good genes.

Finally we get to the two Sunday riley products that’s got eveyone excited to open this month’s goodies. Im personally not a huge fan of sunday riley because despite all the positive reviews and the hype, i have yet to find a product that actually works wonders for me and a product that makes me want to buy more of. Good genes is a lactid acid do it yourself at home facial that aims to make skin appear youthful and radiant with continued use.

What do i notice first about the product? The scenttttt~ this has a very strong herbal ginger smell and i really cannot stand it. It highly reminds me of the belif products because of the herbal scent and it was a real put off for me. But for the sake of the test i tried the product, i do not have obvious wrinkles yet except for my forehead so thats the only spot that i tried this on. The effects are not instant and requires a few days of application. Personally i did not see any major difference and my lines are still there. Maybe i need to apply more often.

Sunday riley ceramic cleanser.

This cleanser is an all around multi tasker and suits almost every type of skin from the oily to the dry. I have combination skin with the T zone being the extra oily part and at the end of most days the nose is what irritates me the most. Sometimes there are days where you dont feel like going the extra step to use makeup removers before your cleanser and on those times that i use the ceramic cleanser to wash up, it does a fine job at removing whats left on my face (mostly oils).

This box feels a little extra with 7 items inside. And the great thing obviously is the value in this month’s box. Sure they are all deluxe size and not in full size but its still great because you get brands like YSL, Hourglass and Sunday riley which are all known for their ex price tag. So this month was definitely doing what beauty boxes are supposed to do - make you try new stuffs. Duh.
